TEAM FUNDRAISING IDEAS:

Talk to HR: Post a notice in your company’s online collaboration space and ask the company HR department to help you get the word out, or support the team directly.
  • Social media takeover: Post online about your fundraising goal, change your avatar so people remember to donate to you, shout out to your donors publicly, which may inspire more people to donate to your cause.
  • Get the boss involved: See if your boss will help the team by promising a reward when you meet the goal. Who wouldn’t want to see the boss host the next all staff meeting dressed like Batman?
  • Ask your friends, family and colleagues to make a donation for your work anniversary, or the company’s founding day..
  • Make a gift in return – Think about what you’ve already got plenty of, or can make plenty of, and give that away to any donor who gives a donation to your fundraiser. This could be seeds for your friends’ gardens, toys they can share with their own pets. Promise to make a pancake breakfast for your coworkers, if your fundraising goal is met.
  • Run your race online: Challenge yourself to a fitness goal, and ask your friends and family to support you. This could be a race you run, miles biked, or days you work out in a row. Put that Peloton streak to work for animals in need!
  • Give something away – Have a piece of art, or a neat sculpture that your friends have always loved, but you’re ready to part with? Hold a fundraising “auction” and giving that item to the highest-dollar donor. Want to be a little more democratic about it? For every $10 donated to your fundraiser, enter that donor’s name into a raffle for that item, and use a random name selector online to help you identify the winner.
  • Do something for your donors – Think about your own skills. Do you have a photographer’s eye? Consider doing socially distanced portraits for your donors. Is your thumb particularly green? Repot a few houseplants and give them to anyone who donates to your campaign. Can your company donate a service you can give your biggest donor?
