Development Council and Friends

Team Development Council and Friends,

The Development Council hopes you will join us in supporting the crucial work the dedicated staff of the Anti-Cruelty does every day and especially during this crisis by joining Bark from the Heart!

The Anti-Cruelty Society has been building a more humane Chicago for people and pets since their founding 1899. Since then, the Society has grown into Chicago's oldest and largest open admission animal welfare organization, and their programs and services improve the lives of thousands of animals and Chicagoans every year. The Anti-Cruelty Society’s mission is to build a community of caring by helping pets and educating people. The Society believes that companion animals provide people with joy, offers recognized health benefits, and unconditional love.  It is the goal to find a home for every adoptable companion animal in need.

The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Development Council is a diverse group of professionals who are committed to furthering the Society’s mission. The Council is dedicated to raising awareness and generating support for The Anti-Cruelty Society’s programmatic efforts, special events, outreach opportunities, and the services that the organization provides to the community.
