We are made up of the many wonderful people who work with, serve as, and help support fosters for the Anti-Cruelty Society’s animals who need a little extra attention. Animals can benefit from time in foster for a variety of reasons. Our foster volunteers offer their homes as a quiet, calm alternative for animals that may be recovering from an illness, needing some time and assistance to reach the age of adoptability, or even simply deserving some time in a home while waiting for their forever family after having spent long enough in the shelter.

In our inaugural year as an Official Bark From The Heart Team, we are hoping to shake up the typical leaderboard and therefore help the Society’s mission to provide compassionate care to any animal that needs it.  We hope that you will consider making a gift to our team. The money you help us raise will be used to provide critical care for thousands of animals, and help them find good homes whenever possible.

The Anti-Cruelty Society has been building a more humane Chicago for people and pets since they were founded in 1899. Today they are Chicago's oldest and largest open admission animal welfare organization, and their programs and services improve the lives of thousands of animals and Chicagoans every year. The Anti-Cruelty Society’s mission is to build a community of caring by helping pets and educating people.
