Lydia's Fundraiser for The Anti-Cruelty Society
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for The Anti-Cruelty Society!
Each year on this Saturday in May my shelter holds our biggest fundraiser of the year. Because of COVID - we’ve had to go virtual - which is why I’m sending out this big ask!
The Anti-Cruelty Society is Chicago’s oldest open door shelter. We won’t turn any animal away - ever. It’s how we came to own Joey, our fancy pigeon, and this hunk right here, Butter. Both of these goobers came to the shelter when they had no other safe place to go. That’s why supporting our work is crucial - we take in the animals others won’t or can’t.
Even with the pandemic we took in THOUSANDS of animals like Joey and Butter in 2020. As the moratorium on evictions comes to end this summer - the shelter is bracing itself for unprecedented numbers of pets and people needing our help. We’re gearing up programs to help keep pets and people together - like paying for pet deposit subsidies, providing emergency boarding, or pet care supplies - so we can preserve families. We’re also amping up our animal care and adoption programs for the wave of pets who will have no other place to turn for help. But all these efforts cost money - which is why your help is so critical!
Please consider supporting the life changing work we’re doing by making a donation in Butter and Joey’s honor. Any little bit helps!
Thank you in advance for helping us help the pets and people of Chicago! ❤
