Friends of Sinbad Fundraising Page
Hello Friends of Sinbad!
As many of you know, Sinbad was rescued by the good folks of The Anti-Cruelty Society and they need our help! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are asking for us to support the animal care and behavioral specialists, veterinarians and technicians whose essential work requires them to continue to provide direct care to the animals in the shelter during this crisis. Yet again, they have moved their annual Bark in the Park from the park to the heart with the launch of Bark From The Heart, a digital fundraising campaign.
This year I have set an ambitious fundraising goal to help the Society in their mission to provide compassionate care to any animal that needs it. The money raised will be used to provide critical care for thousands of animals, and help them find good homes.
In 2020, while dealing with a pandemic and citywide quarantine, The Anti-Cruelty Society helped over 4,000 animals find homes. They also reached over 5,100 people through their outreach programs; fostered 1,474 animals, and provided over 540,000 pet meals to families in need through pop-up pet pantries.
The Anti-Cruelty Society has been building a more humane Chicago for people and pets since their founding 1899. Since then, the Society has grown into Chicago's oldest and largest open admission animal welfare organization, and their programs and services improve the lives of thousands of animals and Chicagoans every year. The Anti-Cruelty Society’s mission is to build a community of caring by helping pets and educating people.
However, the care that The Anti-Cruelty Society provides to animals in need is only possible through the friendship of the community. I hope that you will support me and support Bark From The Heart. Your generosity will ensure that thousands of abandoned and neglected animals will find hope, comfort, and healing this year.
I thank you for your support and for keeping his memory alive,
Elliott "The Kid"
