Lindsay Welbers' Bark From The Heart Fundraiser
The last year has been a wild ride you guys. By far, the best decision I made before spending the next 12 months at home, was to get a dog. Dixie is a whip-smart little adventure pup, and she's cute as a button to boot. I'm so grateful to The Anti-Cruelty Society for introducing me to Dixie, and giving me all the support I needed to give her the loving and comfortable home she deserves. That's why, this year year I set an ambitious fundraising goal for Bark From The Heart.
If you make a donation - of any amount - to my Bark From The Heart fundraiser, I will mail you seeds you can use to grow your own mammoth sunflowers. These seeds are from my own personal stash, and are not available commercially anywhere. Last year my sunflowers grew 14 feet tall. Sunflowers not your thing? I can send along marigold seeds, which will grow happy blooms all season long in your garden, or milkweed seeds, which will attract monarch butterflies.
The money raised will be used to provide critical care for thousands of animals, and help them find good homes. The Anti-Cruelty Society has been building a more humane Chicago for people and pets since their founding 1899. Since then, the Society has grown into Chicago's oldest and largest open admission animal welfare organization, and their programs and services improve the lives of thousands of animals and Chicagoans every year. The Anti-Cruelty Society’s mission is to build a community of caring by helping pets and educating people.
However, the care that The Anti-Cruelty Society provides to animals in need is only possible through the friendship of the community. I hope that you will support me and support Bark in the Park 2020. Your generosity will ensure that thousands of abandoned and neglected animals will find hope, comfort, and healing this year.
